Materials Used
The Upper is either Cowhide Leather Or Bison Leather. Cowhide has a finer grain whereas buffalo hide has a coarse looking, uneven and sometimes pebbly grain appearance. Though bison skin is thicker when removed from the animal, the thickness of both hides used for the boots is the same after splitting the hide for processing. Since both hides are treated the same, their strength and wear ability are much the same.
Work Boots have steel toe.
The Out Sole is either Leather or Rubber which is Weatherproof.
The Insole: Comfort comes from the Air Ride comfort system insole. The Air Ride system utilizes a urethane cushion insole with a leather heel pad and 2 layers of foam cushion and filling which provides superior shock absorption capabilities. It remains flexible even in temperatures as low as negative 40 degrees.
Foot perspiration and foot odor are controlled by the insole cellular structure which allows perspiration to pass through it and resist foot odor.
Boot Style
The Toe shape is either Round, Square, Snip, Covered Wagon or Safety protected. If buying a rounded toe boot, buying a half size larger may be best.
The Heel is either Western Style also known as a Cowboy Heel because it is slightly angled or a Walking heel which has no slant.
The Upper Finish: Some are polished leather; others are more of a suede distressed leather look. Still others are waxed with a waxy oil finish.
The Shaft (boot height) is 7 inches to 12 inches,
Shaft Appearance: Tooled and Plain
Entry Type: Pull Tab or Zipper
