Real Genuine Leather
Where It Comes From: Lucrin buys their ready to craft leathers directly from the best tanners in Italy, Spain and South Africa (for ostrich leather). Because quality is important to them they monitor their leather suppliers very carefully for raw hide quality, tanning process and color dyeing accuracy.

Smooth Calf Skin
Lucrin uses full grain calf skin becuase it is very soft, very durable and includes the top grain and layer below it. Full grain calf leather becomes smooth because it is dried with the grain side pressed against a sheet of (usually) plate glass. It looks so rich and lustrous and feels so soft and comforting. It is used mostly for office accessories, mobile device cases and small leather goods.
Granulated Calf Leather
The granulated full grain calf leather keeps its beautiful grain texture even after the tanning process. To the touch it has a slightly roughened texture even though the leather is soft. It has a more durable, texture and is generally made from more mature hides. Because of it durability it is generally used for office bags such as messenger bags and laptop bags. Because of its grain look, it is also frequently used for mobile device cases.
Goat Leather
Goat leather is by far the most supple and sensitive with a gorgeous look and velvety feel. Crocodile Style Calf Skin

Vegetable Tanned Leather
Vegetable tanned leather is the most natural looking real leather because the tanning process is much more natural. No chemicals such a chrome are used. This type of tanning is applied to full grain leather, which is the best leather grade. Leather connoisseurs definitely prefer vegetable tanned leather because it has such a natural look with all of its grains and blemishes. It has the real leather smell and over time increases in luster and patina. Because the tanning process takes much longer it is also more expensive than chrome tanned leather.
