Nine West

Nine West, known for its fashion footwear, is named after its original location at 9 West in New York City. Since its founding in 1978 by Jerome Fisher and Vince Camuto with its fashion footwear brand, its leather products have expanded to include bags, handbags, wallets in 1995.  In the years that followed Nine West entered licensing agreements to sell leather outerwear jackets and belts. Nine West was one of the first companies to rely on the Brazilian expertise in leather and shoe making. In 1983 its first retail branded store was opened in Stamford, Connecticut. Expansion continued and in 1994 it opened its first Hong Kong location. In 1999 Nine West was purchased by the Jones Apparel Group, Inc.  In 2009 Nine West and New Balance collaborated to develop a collection of footwear designed for performance and fashion. To this day Nine West is still known for its fashionable leather footwear.  Their offices are now based in White Plains, New York.
